This figure illustrates the proposed mechanism by which Tubercidin induces cardiotoxicity in cardiomyocytes under conditions of serum starvation and/or hypoxia. Tubercidin disrupts the normal function of nuclear speckles (NSs), which are critical for the regulation of mRNA metabolism, such as transcription and alternative splicing, affecting the expression of key apoptotic genes
